Academics

Structured pathways from Early Years to Secondary, combining strong foundations with global perspective.

From early childhood through senior secondary, pathways at Balmiki are designed for depth, breadth, and international mindedness. We deliver quality education through progressive pedagogy and thoughtful infrastructure, nurturing global citizens who carry their Nepali identity with pride.

With 100+ educators and a student-to-teacher ratio that allows personalised attention, our academic programs blend the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Nepal's National Curriculum Framework, and innovative STEAM-based learning.

Our Curriculum

We use Fieldwork Education's International Primary Curriculum (IPC) for Grades I–V, offering subject, personal, and international learning goals across language arts, mathematics, science, ICT, arts, and society. For Grades VI–X, subject-specialist teaching and labs provide a holistic secondary experience. Senior levels (+2) follow Nepal's National Curriculum Framework, preparing learners for national examinations and higher study.

Assessment & Reporting

We use a combination of formative and summative assessment to track student progress. Regular feedback, parent-teacher meetings, and term reports keep families informed. For Grades IX–X, assessments align with SEE examination standards. For +2, assessments follow national board requirements.

Learning Support & Inclusion

We are committed to inclusive education. Students who need additional support receive individualised attention. We empower our students to think independently, ask meaningful questions, solve real-world problems creatively, collaborate and communicate effectively, and act with empathy, ethics, and resilience.

Co-curricular Activities

With 50+ co-curricular activities, school life at Balmiki extends well beyond the classroom. Students participate in the Media Club (news, newsletters, visual storytelling), Literary & Debating Club, the Balmiki Band, sports (basketball, badminton, table tennis, cricket, open field), yoga and meditation, visual arts, dance, and community service.
